Introduction
As the world embraces the shift towards sustainable transportation, Electric Vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly popular with the battle to reduce carbon footprint.
With this Coljoint Limited have recently completed the installation of 41 Schneider Electric Vehicle charging stations across three network rail depots.
Submain cables were installed from DNO cabinets and panel boards which were situated within the depots; to supply purpose-built GRP Electric Vehicle feeder pillars.
PEN Detection panels were installed within the Feeder Pillars to protect the system/users from electric shock in the event of a break in PEN conductor.
3-Phase Distribution boards were installed to cope with the demand of the Electric Vehicle chargers.
Client Brief
Our client Bam Nuttall instructed us to complete the electrical installation of Electric Vehicle Chargers to the designs issued including the retro fit out of EV feeder pillars.
